Brazos Valley QueSt is proud to announce recent OUTreach grants and other donations resulting from this year’s charity events including the

2009 Spring GAYla “Adventures in Wonderland”.

$1,000 to Brazos Valley Community Action Agency for HIV rapid testing

.

$1,000 to KEOS 89.1 fm for “This Way Out” and other GLBT-friendly programming

.

$5,200+ to Aggie ALLIES safe zone program at Texas A&M University

.
Since 2004, Brazos Valley QueSt has hosted six Spring GAYla events and seven others, including Fall Homecoming. The organization has raised over $16,000 for local queer/ally programming and another $5,400 for scholarships and an endowment.

As of our last committee meeting on Monday, March 2, 2009, Brazos Valley QueSt has closed. In accordance with our constitution, all remaining funds were donated to Aggie ALLIES. It has been our great pleasure to serve the queer/straight community of the Brazos Valley. We hope that our efforts will inspire others.
